What is cremation jewelry?
Cremation jewelry is an artistic take on a stone using a loved one or pet’s remains. This is not a wearable urn, rather this is a way to take the essence of your loved one or pet and allow you to carry their memory with you in an artistic fashion.
-
Will I be able to see the ashes?
Yes. Most commonly I create your stone so that the ashes are visible to the naked eye. However, if you would prefer not to see them in your stone, please note this in order notes at checkout so that I know to mix your ashes in with the color you chose to keep them from being visible to the naked eye.
-
What is breastmilk jewelry?
Breastmilk jewelry is jewelry that holds a stone created from your breastmilk.
I preserve your milk using heat and a chemical compound that turns your milk into a grindable powder.
From the powder I add this to a high-quality resin that will allow your milk to create a stone that will represent your breastfeeding journey.
-
What color is my breastmilk jewelry?
There are several ways to design your stone.
If you were to choose a milk only stone, the color will be a creamy milky color that can be mistaken for an opal. However, if you would like to have the stone be a different color, you can choose a stone shimmer and I can either add the powder to the color OR it can be added to the stone in a chunkier look similar to cremation ashes so that your milk is more visible to the naked eye.
-
Why do you charge an additional fee to preserve milk?
The milk preservation charge is to keep costs fair for those who may not need milk preservation. In order to preserve milk, I use a chemical compound that must be ordered and shipped to me. I then take time to preserve the milk, dehydrate it, and grind it down so that I can create your special piece. Please be sure to add milk preservation to your order if you are including breastmilk as one or more of your inclusions. The milk preservation can be added to your cart from our shopping page.
The charge is $25. If you have more than one milk, you do not need to add the charge more than once, I do not charge for multiple milks.
-
Why do you charge an additional fee to add a necklace chain?
Many of my clients have their own chain that they would like to either add their necklace pendant to or they prefer to purchase their own. The chain I provide will match the metal that you choose for your stone. I work with sterling silver, black rhodium, or 14k gold filled. I can also work with solid gold and diamonds, please message me if this is what you are looking for as this is not always available and is considered a custom piece. Ultimately, I try to be as fair as possible in pricing and this give folks a way to save money should they prefer not to opt for a necklace chain.
-
Are there additional charges to customize your stone?
I charge a $20 consultation for my time to speak with you about designing your stone. However should you purchase after our consultation, I will provide you with a discount code to use at the end of our session to offset the cost of your consultation.
My time is valuable and so is yours, therefore I charge for the time to speak with you, but I will give that money back to you towards your piece.
I do not charge to add colored flakes, shimmer, opal flakes, dried flowers, etc. Many companies do charge for these additions, I do not.
-
What is the turnaround time?
Turnaround time is up to 14 weeks from the time I receive your inclusion to when the order is shipped to you. Typically, I run closer to 8 weeks but there can be unforeseen circumstances. Should your order run longer than normal I will be sure to communicate with you and provide updates
-
How do I send my inclusions?
Once your order is placed I will send an email with where to send your inclusions to. If you do not see an email, please be sure to check your spam or promotions folder. If you still cannot find it – please email me at preciousstonements@gmail.com and I will be happy to assist!
Please view the Terms, Conditions, & Shipping Instructions page for details on how to mail me your inclusions to try to ensure the best shipping outcome.
-
Can I send more than one inclusion?
Yes – please be sure to add in your order notes that you are sending more than one inclusion. If you are including breastmilk as one of your inclusions, please be sure to add a breastmilk preservation kit to your order.

How can I determine my ring size?
I recommend that you get your ring sized by a local jeweler. If you are local to me, I have ring sizing tools available in my home office that I can use to help you determine your ring size. If you are not local, please go to a local jeweler or pawn shop as they can size you. If you are unable to get sized by a local jeweler or myself, I offer a ring sizing tool for purchase. I will ship this to you, and you can then place your order once you have sized yourself. You can also purchase these on Amazon should you wish to not purchase through my site.
-
What metals do you use?
I have a variety of metals that I use. Most commonly I work with 925 Sterling silver, 14K gold filled, or black rhodium. I can offer rose gold. Please message me if you are looking for rose gold, as not all pieces are offered in a rose gold setting. I can work with solid golds and diamonds; however, this is a custom item and will require you to message me to talk about your particular piece.
I have an old piece of jewelry that I would like to use, how do
-
I do that?
This is considered a custom piece that will require a consultation to determine how we can use your setting and what will be needed to ensure its durability over time. Please message me or set up a consultation to discuss your potential order.
-
What if this is the last of my inclusions?
I will never ask you to send the last of your ashes, hair, milk, etc. Packages can get lost in transit and the last thing I would ever want is for your precious items to get lost. Please use caution if this is your situation, I do not want you to send anything that cannot be sent again.
-
Refunds/Returns
Due to the custom nature of your piece, I cannot accept returns. All sales are final. Unfortunately my suppliers will not allow me to return settings, therefore any orders canceled after the 24 hours will not be refunded.
Please be 100% sure on your ring size as I cannot resize your ring. You can try to take it to a local jeweler, but I cannot guarantee your stone will not be damaged.
By purchasing you are agreeing to this.
-
Can I wear my keepsake everyday?
For everyday wear, I would suggest a necklace. If you are wanting a ring, I would recommend a gold filled piece. These keepsakes are incredibly delicate and should be treated with care.
Prolonged exposure to heat, moisture, and chemicals can damage your stone over time. Sterling silver and gold filled jewelry CAN tarnish if they are not cared for properly. Therefore it is important to treat your jewelry with care and avoid water exposure, swimming, showering. When storing keep your piece in a cool dry environment away from direct sunlight.
An after-care instruction card as well as a polishing cloth will be included with your order.
What is Gold Filled? Isn’t that just cheap gold?
No, gold filled is not just cheap gold. Gold filled jewelry is higher quality and more expensive than gold plated as the quantity of gold is MUCH higher than gold plated. Gold filled jewelry is mechanically bonded to a base metal using heat and pressure making it more durable for everyday wear than gold plated jewelry.
